Tonight at Wembley was one of my earliest self-funded films, following The Night Café as they played Wembley Arena alongside The Wombats.
As director and editor, I focused less on the scale of the show and more on the band themselves - capturing their humour, friendship and slightly chaotic, boyish energy backstage and behind the scenes.
Following the death of the band’s singer, Sean Martin, the film has taken on an additional archival significance as a record of the group at that early point in their careers.
